Abigail Clement

Masters Student

From the nest of the Jayhawks, Abigail is bringing her limited intramural basketball skills to the court of the Blue Devils. In 2024, she earned her BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kansas with distinction. She began her research journey characterizing the effects of hydrogel cross linking methods on their network structure and diffusion properties. Her interest in improving women’s health led her to transition to biomedical engineering for her MS. In the Segura lab, she will focus on gene delivery from granular hydrogel scaffolds, aiming to optimize release and therapeutic efficiency. If she’s not in the lab, she can likely be found cooking, playing cello, watching movies, or hunting for a sweet treat.
