Elle Caston

PhD Candidate

Fueled by a thirst for knowledge (and coffee). Elle received her B.S. in Bioengineering from Temple University in 2020. While an undergraduate, Elle worked with adipose tissue engineering models trying to better understand the cell crosstalk between adipocytes and macrophages. Now a PhD student in the Segura Lab, she plans to further develop MAP hydrogels for wound healing applications. In her free time, Elle can be found perusing adoption websites in hopes of one day becoming a dog mom, working out, or sitting on her porch enjoying the beautiful NC weather!
