Yasha Saxena

PhD Candidate

THE CIRCLE OF LIFE…science. Yasha (MS 2018) is coming back to Duke as a first year PhD student. She studied Economics, Math, and premed as an undergrad at Northwestern. She found the cure to her combo of interests in biomedical engineering – particularly biomedical data analysis – and she is especially excited to pursue that through the computational side of the Segura Lab. She’s joining the lab after working as an engineer for a few years, so she’s is challenging herself to still get things done from 9 – 5PM. Yasha loves lots of things – spicy food, K dramas, hip hop dancing, game nights with friends/family, and of course her big doggy Kovu. Sorry if she talks about him too much!
