Yining Liu, MS

PhD Candidate

Sweet, (long pause), but deadly. Yining is on her 6th year of her PhD journey in the Segura Lab. With a B.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences and an M.S. in Bioengineering, she is now bridging her passion for macrophages with immunomodulatory biomaterials and applying her work to chronic wound healing. Besides being called a ‘scientist,’ she identifies with the words ‘athlete’ (college basketball captain, Taekwondo gold-medallist, archeress-in-practice), ‘cat mom’ (with a lovely boy Finnick), and ‘day-dreamer’ (reads/watches shows too much).
