Juhi Samal, PhD

2019 - 2023

Sassy with a side of nerd. Juhi started her journey as a postdoctoral researcher in the Segura Lab after concluding her doctoral research at NUI Galway, Ireland in 2019. She introduces the lab to the sweetness of brain glycans. Her doctoral research was focussed on the development of biomaterial-based intervention for enhanced graft survival in Parkinson’s disease with a special focus on brain glycosylation. Besides research, Juhi is passionate about science communication and has been very actively involved in promoting ‘women in science.’ In her downtime, Juhi is a bookbug and LOVES to eat, cook, and if you guilt her enough…exercise!
