Nhi Phan, PhD

TBD

Nhi received her BS and M.Eng from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2017 and 2018 respectively before joining Duke in 2020 in the lab of Dr. Tatiana Segura. During her time there, she studied how to use biomaterials to modulate astrocytes towards repair in the brain after ischemic stroke. Nhi’s favorite memory in lab is whenever someone in lab unintentionally matched outfits with each other. It happens way more than you’d think. Her advice to future students is that “The science will always be hard, but it’s the wonderful people you’ll work with that make it easier. So have fun with it.”
